By accessing or using Careiverse ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. About Our Service

Careiverse is a care home comparison and placement exchange platform. We provide tools to search, compare, and connect with care services across the United Kingdom, including care homes, nursing homes, home care providers, supported living, and sheltered accommodation. We display publicly available CQC inspection data to help inform your decisions.

Important: Careiverse does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice. We do not make placement decisions on your behalf, nor do we guarantee the quality, suitability, or availability of any care service listed on the platform. Always conduct your own due diligence and visit properties in person before making decisions.

2. Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date
• You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

3. For Individuals and Families

When using Careiverse to search for care:

• Search results are based on your criteria and publicly available data; listing order does not imply endorsement
• CQC ratings displayed are sourced from the Care Quality Commission and may not reflect the very latest inspection
• Enquiries sent to providers share your contact details with that provider
• The Placement Exchange feature facilitates connections between parties; we do not guarantee matches or outcomes
• Reviews you submit must be honest, based on genuine experience, and comply with our review guidelines

4. For Care Providers

Providers listing on Careiverse agree to:

• Maintain valid CQC registration for any regulated activities
• Ensure all property listings are accurate, current, and not misleading
• Update vacancy and availability information in a timely manner
• Respond to enquiries from families within a reasonable timeframe
• Not use the platform to discriminate against protected characteristics
• Complete identity and business verification as required
• Comply with all applicable UK regulations for care services

We reserve the right to remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, or associated with providers whose CQC registration has been suspended or cancelled.

5. Placement Exchange

The Placement Exchange service allows individuals to express interest in relocating between care settings. Careiverse facilitates introductions but is not a party to any arrangement made between users. Both parties are responsible for ensuring any move complies with care plans, funding arrangements, and regulatory requirements. Local Authority involvement may be required for funded placements.

6. Reviews and User Content

• Reviews must be based on genuine, first-hand experience
• You must not post defamatory, abusive, or fraudulent content
• We may moderate, edit, or remove content that violates our guidelines
• By posting content, you grant Careiverse a licence to display it on the platform
• Providers may respond publicly to reviews

7. Intellectual Property

The Careiverse platform, including its design, logo, content, and software, is owned by Careiverse and protected by intellectual property laws. CQC data is used under public sector information licence. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute platform content without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Careiverse provides information to assist your decision-making but accepts no liability for decisions made based on information displayed on the platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data (including CQC ratings), the suitability of any care provider, or the outcome of any placement exchange. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time through your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases, though certain provisions (liability, intellectual property) survive termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
